There is a difference between actions having consequences and paddling hell out of kids.
Nothing in the literature proves it works. Prisons are full of convicted violent inmates who were beaten, paddeled and spanked. Succesful citizens were also beaten, paddled and spanked. 

Sadley, some of actions that do effect a change in children are also banned. 

Some figure it out...some screw around until they do something serious and get arrested. Parental example works.
