They do charge for ads on here. I know that much.
My way that I have avoid this is to contract with many companies at the same time.
Then all the companies can't rely on you 100% of the time. You start getting asked
if you can take work or not. The ones that get royally screwed are the ones who
show up at 730am and see where they are going that morning and call themselves an independent contractor. But thats not what bugs me the most. It is when you get there and you find out that they don't have a route for you that day.
Plenty of retailers that wouldn't mind working you 1,2,3,4 or 5 days a week. All you need is a couple of them and you can do pretty good. If you get with the right ones they will let you schedule your installs then you are truely in control of your schedule. No running 300 miles between jobs on the same day.
