I think he makes some great points, the most important that salvation is about a relationship with Jesus Christ, not religion. Going to church doesn't save a man, nor does following rules, but Jesus instituted the church. Jesus is the church. The problem with many churches today, as was then, is they form man given doctrine and rules that aren't Biblical, and bring legalism to the plate by doing so. The Bible clearly teaches us what we must do to be saved and how to live in obedience to God's Word, His Word given so we may live better lives, not take away our freedoms or what we consider fun. His Word is not grievous and sin is only fun for a season, but then comes the consequences and that is what He attempts to save us from if we would only listen.
