The latest ad on the bar has a company paying $8/hour and when i called
he said he would have NO problem filling the position as he doesn't want
experienced cable salesmen. The bar rarely has anything new, and the pay
keeps going down and the regulation more strict. Even sales/installation
guys, who aren't delusional about there real pay, can barely make a living
when they cover at home expenses and on the road expenses. These greedy
primes who would NEVER be able to do the job on there own are forgetting
who writes there paychecks. I beleive the solution to this problem is to boycott
this business for a while, starve out these greedy primes and let them know they
need us just as much as we need them. Otherwise, Direct sales in cable is finished.
Cable sales has now become a minimum wage job.
