If you have a computer:
MicroSoft Streets and Trips
Google Maps
If you don't have a computer:
Police Department or 911 Dispatch office
Fire Department
City Hall
Utility company if you can track down a guy out on the road
Walmart
However, if you like paper maps just for the reason they are paper, you can always try a fedex ground office. They carry books that divide the counties into North, South, East and West. This has always been my approach. I get into a new town, and the first thing I GPS is a FedEx Ground office. Even with a TomTom, I find if I see the big picture, so to speak, I do a lot better.
