I had my own construction company running from 1978-1988, Back then I was paying the going rates as follows:
GF-$9.98, CrewFRM-$8.75, LineM-$8.25, Coax Splicer-$8.75, Mach Opr-$8.25, Apt Linem-$7.25 GrdHnd-$5.70, Whsm-$4.50 Plus $2.00 per hour work for PerDiem (tax free) if you lived 50 mile from your perm residence.
As you can see rates have not changed much in last 24 years. Your cable MSO's need to get out and live in the field: Cheap motels, Hot beer, cold food, gas now $4.00, Poorly trained field job suprv, lack equipment, etc, etc.
Just my 2 cents....good luck to all of you still at it: microman ...............keep safe !!
