Re: centurylink prism

from what ive found about it so far is.....you cant watch more than 4 tv's at any given time because they only provide four streams of video per residence of standard digital definition.....you may or may not be able to get hd and then if you can get it it only allows you to watch one or two streams at any one given time.....the max speed of the internet will be ten megs ...ive heard alot of horror stories about it locking up and you would have to reboot everything before you can finish watching your favorite show or movie.....and that four tv's depends on the shape of the existing wiring to your home.....they tell you its a free install but you pay 53 bucks for activation on the phone and 15 for the internet.....you can only get the tv if you have at least one other service with them....your neighbor might be able to get it but you cant.....and you need to be within a certain distance from the switching station to qualify.....you need a digital box for every tv you plan on using

they have a new technology using what they call pair bonding and that maxes out at 25 meg of total bandwidth per household....thats why they can only offer 10 meg internet when you get tv with it....with four tv's running or three if one is running hd and using the internet you are bordering on maxing out bandwidth and im guessing thats why you get lock ups
