The service is great if you have good pairs from the CO and yes it needs home runs since it's ethernet feeds to the top boxes or can be fed through the existing coax for older TV's or where your not looking for HD programming. The video is HD streaming throughout if your TV's have HDMI. The VDSL will give up to 50meg when it begins deploying. The picture is clean, crisp and no delay between channel changes thanks to the 7 sec. delay in the video that is fed from harddrives in the super mini headends. The techs are with the phone company but many came from the CATV providers and others have been well trained for the Prism service. I recommend you go by one of the retail offices and try before you buy.
