Freedom, more money, control. Employees have to 'clock in/out' have some one looking over their shoulder every second of the day. If you do your job right, and work for the right people, there is a lot of money to be made contracting, your driving your vehicle, so you have the freedom to do what you want...if you want to stop at the store, or visit a friend after work, you don't have to take the company vehicle to the shop first...there are several advantages to contracting, but its not for everyone.
