My Dad left me ,my sisters and mother when I was 3, I don't remember him much, we lost our house and was thrown out on the street , literally, we ended up living with my grand parents, who where fantastic. I never saw much of him, when some one asked me about him I told them he was dead, because he was to me, is that what you want? He was the best example of how not to be a Father, it was tough for me bringing up my kids because I had no role model to follow but I have 2 of the best kids around now. My mother went to every Little League game , football game etc. but he never came to one, that hurt. If this lady knows you and knows your heart she'll let you go, but you can't hold her back either. Good luck, you already have your answer, you know what you want.
