As a contractor and owner, I cannot get workers comp on myself... yet cable companies require that you carry it. Ridiculous but true....SO... I get wc on my wife, stating that she is my secretary and pay her $50.00/wk...which I don't. So now I have a certificate of insurance that satisfies Comcast and the others. It's basically worthless...it doesn't cover me...and makes the insurance companies rich. Total BS. By the way, the policy for my wife costs $200/yr....I might as well just flush it down the toilet
