Oil patch will take almost anyone if you can jump through the hoops. They will run you down the road faster than you showed up though if are not cutting it. I don't miss the 14 days straight of 12 hour towers. Two years was enough for me but good luck to anyone if you dare, if your man enough. I know that they are making around $18000 a month roughnecking in the Balken now.
