Re: according to Daniel

First of all that's a mis-quote. Thomas Jefferson never called the Christian God a three headed monster. In a letter to the State of Virginia he did call The Church of England hypocrites in his quest for religious freedom, and seperation of church and state. Back then The Church of England was exercising religious tyranny whereby a religion received State endorsements, and those not of that religion were denied rights, and even punished. Thomas Jefferson was a Deist beliving that God (The Supreme Architect) designed and built the universe then stepped aside to let it run on it's own. He believed God does not alter the universe by intervening in it, and that God created man with a free mind.

I can never join Calvin in addressing his god. He was indeed an Atheist, which I can never be; or rather his religion was Daemonism. If ever a man worshipped a false god, he did.

Thomas Jefferson in a letter to John Adams April 11,1823
God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy.
