I spliced and swept some of that in the 90s in King and Snohomish County (WA). I remember taking a TDR to it and finding out the Velocity of Propagation was only in the 70% to 80% range (or the maps were lying by about 10% per span). I believe we found a Gilbert connector that worked with it. The fitting was similar to a QR fitting in that it clamped the shield but there was no coring, just a stinger. Horribly lossy too.
