Many people refer to Easter as "Resurrection Sunday" in observance to Jesus' resurrection.
The resurrection of Jesus represents him conquering death and defeating Satan.
If Jesus had not been resurrected than we would have no hope of salvation. I personally think that is worth celebrating. I personally think that we need to keep the "Easter Bunny" out of the picture, but to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord....I'm all for it.
We in turn celebrate Christmas, and it is a well known fact that Jesus was not born on December 25th.
In fact that date (or there about) was the pagan holiday of the winter solstice.
I also (personally) celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. However, you are not going to see any "Santa Clause, reign deer or snow man" decorations at my house.
