where are you trying to work at? Easiest way to start is to multi-sub under someone else, but alot of cable markets are no longer allowing this.  They dont want 1099's anymore that means alot of overhead to start as a w-2 company.  Thats why alot of small contract companies have folded or moved to smaller markets in the past few years.
