First, if your opening your own sub office, hopefully you have experience, that is your best tool, also, if you do have experience, you should also have some contacts within the industry your trying to sub in, make use of everyone you have ever worked with or for, you have to sell your abilities to clients, if you have what they are needing, you will get your foot in the door. One rule of thumb, Under promise, over deliver, meaning, don't promise that you can do something if you can't, its better to say "I can do 10 installs a day" and then actually be able to do 15, than to say you can do 15, but in reality can only do 10.
Never argue with idiots, they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience
