It's a satellite receiver that doesn't get a satellite signal. DISH came up with that one.

It's a client satellite receiver that is dependent on the main unit (HOPPER) to operate. It doesn't directly get a satellite signal, just what the Hopper passes on to it. Hopper goes down, whole house goes down. If you invest, you should short DISH.
