Regular splitter will work fine. They don't have any power to pass. Anything up to 1ghz will work. The install is pretty easy. Just get to Hopper going as soon as you have signal and run everything else while its loading. The first initial download takes 10 minutes. The box resets and the next one takes 10-15 min. You'll have to activate once it starts back up and then you have 5-10 more min. Joeys take forever to start up and take about 7 minutes to load.
