No with Exede12 you get around 10-12 mb down and around 1.5-2.5 upload but you also have about a 700ms ping time where as cable usually has around 30-80ms ping time 6 mb downloadwith a low ping would be better than 12 mb down with ping of 700ms. It is good for people who cant get anything else but the service is horrible and is always going out from the slightest thing and they also have system issues all the time.
