First you will have to define supreme being.
You are talking about taking simpler physical materials, and adding them together to get a more complex material. That doesn't happen by itself, it takes an intelligence to suggest the combination, and also to comine the materials into a usable, advanced material. Nevertheless, the more advanced material compound is not greater than its constituent parts, but just a specific combination that performs a specific function for which it was DESIGNED.
We have learned from genetic science that all living organisms have DNA, which is the instruction code that tells the cells how to perform, what to be, and how to replicate themselves. The DNA's purpose is to maintain the purity of the information contained in it, not to reorganize itself into something else in part, or entirety. It is hard coded to do exactly what it was initially programmed to do. No mutation has had a net positive effect, it is always more negative than positive.
By the way, you infer that all the combinations that you listed above happened of themselves, and by themselves. A chemist combines individual chemicals to yeild a new compound, an engineer designs and constructs a complex circuit out of simple parts
, and breeding generates a composite life form out of the pre-existing genetic material available in other animals. Breeding is God's form of genetic splicing. Point being, it takes an outside intelligence to effect a change in the natural order.
You would find it preposterous if someone suggested that a fine swiss time piece like a rolex was the product of a chance explosion in a watch parts factory. You know intrinsically that it took an intelligence to fabricate all those parts, and put them together with such precision and purpose in order to make a watch that keeps time accurately.
The law of entropy shows that order tends toward disorder, which is confirmed by genetic science. DNA's information breaks down over time, can't repair itself properly, stops replicating, and eventually dies.
Yet you suggest that mankind will transcend his physical limitations into something beyond his constituent parts. That would be called supernatural, not natural. (ie. MIRACULOUS)
Danimal, hopefully someday you will stop being a contrarian, and giving all the reasons that you shouldn't believe in the creator God of the universe, and instead, accept the free gift of salvation paid in crucifixion for my, yours, and everyone else's sins. Whether you believe in God or not is irrelevant, because he exists (eternally past, present, and future). He has given his inspired word to testify to that fact, and also all of the evidences of his limitless intelligence, and power, in this physical world. To suggest that it came from chance (which is a mathematical improbability of ridiculous proportions), is illogical since everything in our physical world is so wonderfully, and intricately designed and constructed, with specific purpose in the place in which it exists.
I would like to pray for you often, that God may open your eyes to the truth, and that you accept it!
Jeff
