Years ago, two of the local fisherman caught a huge sturgeon out of the Bogue Chitto river here and proceeded to strap it to the front of their pickup and parade it around the local area because they had never seen or caught such a huge ugly fish. Well the local Fish and Game Officer pulled them over and arrested them for catching, and killing an endangered species.
