Re: RIP Bob

Couldn't believe what I was reading. Bob had called me last month, and we were planning on meeting in Sturgis this summer.
I had to call my Dad, he had talked to Bob last Sunday, and said everything seemed to be ok and that Bob and Deb were moving back to Texas.
Bob was a good friend of the family. My Dad and him worked together for years, starting back in the early 70's. and remained close friends through the years. "Old School" yes he was. A little rough around the edges,,maybe. Would not sugar coat anything,, and tell you exactly how it is,,, that was Bob.
Summer of 73, Grants NM is when Bob and my Dad taught me how to climb, on the pole in our back yard. Bob would tell me to stretch out and reach out there and grab the lasher. When I would try and grab it with one hand and hold on to telephone with the other. Bob would hit the hand on telephone with a lay up stick, and say "ain't no such thing as a one armed linemen".
Love you Bro,,,you will be missed. They don't make em like that any more!
