a while back i got my name dragged thru the mud on this forum because a company owed me money for some work i did on a wireless job on an apartment building or buildings. When we got there the head dude showed us a schematic of the original layout of the access points and was asking us for input on how to route the cable. He treated me like i didnt have a clue about routing cable and I was some kind of fool. And made his case about me on this forum including posting my full name. All because i wanted to get payed for my time i put in on the job.Well the job was a dissaster from the start ,they used plumbing fittings on the pvc conduit because they didnt have the funds to buy the needed supplies for the job. They went ahead and retrofitted 24 buildings and completly disreguarded my input on routing the cable. Then they realized the design changes the foreman made wouldnt work. So i made it back to that complex today and got a chance to see the final job .They completely redid the entire job they replaced the plumbing fittings with the grey conduit 90's and they routed the cable exactly how i had suggested doing it in the first place. I dont know if another company came in and redid the job or they did it themselves. I told the boss when we first started the job we needed to bury the cable around the building to get were the original drawings had the access points located and that is how the final job got ran. But only after the boss spent 20 grand screwing up the whole job and then went to the owners of the building and cryed for more money to finish the job. The same guy that treated me like i was some yahoo that had never ran cable before. Well I may not be an expert with cat 5 or wireless for apartment buildings but I do know how to route cable and Ive hung enough to go to the moon and back. And it seems the one who didnt know what he was doing was the one who wasted 20 grand and tryed to play engineer . REMEMBER LARRY I DID SUGGEST BURYING THAT CABLE TO GET TO THE MIDDLE AND BACKSIDES OF THE BUILDINGS .And this is the guy that told his partner i didnt know what i was doing and didnt deserve my pay . If you would have listened to me you might have saved oh 20 grand? I guess i did earn my pay just a little late
