Re: Catv Is History

I would be surprised by this... Cable being history.  Now if you told me phone companies going under I can understand that.  They have very little to offer.  I know in areas where they are not running expensive Fiber, they are depending solely on the satellite companies to bail them out by bundling.  I know some areas where you can still get DSL at a whole high speed of 1.5 Mbps.  I am glad they have finally decided to get away with trying to get everyone to have phone service with their DSL.

But to compare internet vs internet, Cable still have them beat.  I mean the most I can get on DSL or from what I hear is 50Mbps.  I am on Comcast on their 25mbps line.  I can go all the way up to 100 Mbps.  Don't have Cable TV service because I just use Hulu and Netflix.  Those 2 are still new to most.

The arguement about others in the area running fiber?  I thought everyone was running or converting to fiber.
