For one thing you will need to get Comtran certified to climb towers. Then you will need to find a company that will bring you on as a trainee which is not hard since the industry is lacking enough climbers. If you are going to take on the job on your own then you will need a min. of 2 million liability plus workers comp. The Comtran certification of all climbers plus insurance and workers comp be submitted to tower owner for approval. That's just the business part. Tools and safety equipment will put you into several thousands of investment. The positive part of tower work is the amount paid per job can be from several hundred to several thousand per job depending on how much work is performed.
