I work for FTS in Naples and have worked as an employee for them in 2 other Florida systems. They have their fualts, but hands down the best contractor I have been with. The pay is to the nickel, the benefits are great and if you know your stuff you can make good money. 800-1000 should be no problem for an experienced guy doing residential work. They have a well maintained fleet of brand new trucks and will pay for 36 gallons of gas weekly. They have holiday time and paid vacation on a sliding scale depending on seniority up to 100% of your avg hourly rate (which should be 14-16 if youre any good). And it doesnt cost a rat cent to work. They have a decent travel bonus and per diem system for working out of town. The managers, sups and even corporate officers are all cable guys, and will support a good tech to no end. Just dont get wrapped up in the bs, get your route and run it. Great company.
