Re: Life of a Lineman / installer

Right on Rob, Good topic....This would have been around 82, Wheatridge Co. I was the new guy with this bunch of splicers, and we were in the easements. Well,,,at the end of this particular day, I had finished splicing my last piece, threw my tools in the truck and jumped in and started to drive off, when I noticed a piece of paper under my windshield wiper. I stopped and grabbed the paper, it was a note. It seemed to be from a home owner, and said that she had noticed me working up and down the block, and that she wanted to meet me, also,, one of my partners left a tool in her back yard. That if I could stop by for a glass of lemonade, she would give it to me.
Right on,,I thought,,today is my lucky day. So,,I stopped by the address on the note, and knocked on the door,,,,,,This little olĂ© lady, in her 70's answers the door, and says "yes, can I help you"? Right then,,,I knew something was fishy.
When I got back to the warehouse all the splicers were laughing their ass's off. They had congregated at the end of the block and watched the whole deal.
