Re: FTS USA Florida anyone actually worked for the

I have to agree with you cableUSA, it is so true. I interviewed with FTS in Aug 2011, they would not give me a truck to take home because I live in Ocala, however they sounded like any other company. I know they are picking up a lot more business because Cox Communications decided to use them exclusively for their subcontracting needs. This decision left 4 companies out in the cold and a lot of good working technicians without work without any notice. I did get an offer from them but decided one of the companies closer to home was the way to go to gain the experience that I needed in the area, since I had just moved here from Miami. i did resubmit my resume this week and got a call, so lets see what happens.

And to the member that commented on Felix's spelling, I am sure that he does a good job, just because someone does not write English well, does not mean that he does not do a good job. I myself have a very heavy accent when I speak (and I have gotten a lot of remarks since moving up here from Miami 6 months ago) but I speak two languages, English is my second language which I only learned to speak 10 years ago. I have heard native born speakers of English that sound awful at times too. We as techs, should stick together, help each other out instead of pointing and laughing about these things. Do not think just because someone has an accent that person is less educated that you are, this thinking is just ignorant. This ignorance is what allows these companies to keep nickel and dime-ing us. I myself have a heavy accent, but I am a Naval Engineer with a 4 year college degree and post graduate field work. However doing that job here would keep me at sea and away from the family for months at a time, no change comes without sacrifice.
