Are you talking about the Regular Magic Jack or the Plus, the Plus has a POE (power over Ethernet) inserter
I was planning to Hubbing up the RJ45 from a 40mbps Commercial Cable modem then twisted pair cat6 to 1 phone only, I figure the POE will power a phone ringer or 2
The max run from each phone room to phone is 300ft.
The Cable Provider told me that I can have up to 36 lines of VOIP off of their 40mbps phones modems, but they want to charge $34.00 a month per line
But I also know that if I pay for a Business Class Broadband Modem service I can use it as I see fit, that's why the $29.95 a year looks attractive to me.
I can get the 40mbps service for $125.00 a month per Modem.
I have the WiFi covered with a 1mw ACOM Access Point with a 25db gain omni antenna feed by a 40mbps Cable Modem, but only about 40% of the tenants have a computer
