To this day I hate berber carpet. My first boss warned me about it. We never had carpet punches that made nice holes. We cut an X in the carpet and then used your finger to fold the edges under. If you left a thread chances were you would snag it. I never had it happen to me but it happened to guys that I was training a couple of times over the years. All in all I still prefer the construction and design part of the job over the installation.
