Ok here you go up front and straight forward:
California has the BEST Labor Laws int he World.
DO NOT HOLD the equipment from them however you need to have the Company "sign" for the equipment return.
DO NOT just give them the equipment back because they can then hold you accountable and claim you never returned it.
You need documentation of Hours worked, Proof of work and anyhting else that can prove you worked there.
The company has 24 hours to give you your check after being terminated. If you quit then they have the right to pay you
on the next due payroll, "if" they do not abide by the payroll "laws" they face fines and possible jail time.
Trust me dont play or tinker around with this, if you have the documentation to prove your case "you" will win.
Yo can also get them for unemployment and they will have to pay up for it. California has the best unemployment in the nation.
