You are probably right! That is what a sup told me one time... I found it to be interesting. Personally I don't feel a need for a union. If you don't like whats going on, find another spot. We have a choice to work for these contractors. I have managed over the years to find decent contractors to work for and I have made good money most of the time. All of these guys asking for unions do realize that they have to pay dues right? They may or may not see a difference in the outcome after paying these dues. I'm just not sure it's worth it. I have walked away from an unethical contractor more than once. There are still good places to work. At last I have been lucky enough to get out of the cable side of this industry. I hope it lasts, but if not I am confident in the fact that I can go back to doing installs and make enough money to support my family and still have enough left to have fun on the weekends.
