on that other post about the service loops if it is rg 6  they want about a five inch diameter on them. i have never done satellite before so i was wondering if mounting the dish to the side of the house was normal? I had a guy to install my neighbors  satellite it was sort of a homemade duplex where we lived. and the installer was trying to get a signal so he came over to my side of the house and he face nailed a flange on my shingle roof. I told him not to do it and he did it anyway / the signal was no good so he removed the flange and siliconed the holes in the roof/  he should have lifted the shingle and nailed it under the shingle but he simply face nailed the flange.
