Federal Stimulus Fiber Funds

Stimulus funds allocated for building fiber in rural america is about to get started and in some regions has already started.  These are federal funds which I would think means that those contractors awarded the contracts to construct the systems, will have to pay Prevailing Wages...$35-$48 hour for lineman.  The secret here is "HOUR" as I'm sure the contractors will try paying on units, but federal funds falls under the Davis-Bacon Act.
Eastern Ohio-WPA-WVA has some 3000 mile of fiber ready to go !! Every one bitches about work-wages-etc but I'm sure some of you will be out there on unit pay, rates that we use to get 10 years ago.   Good Luck-Be Safe-The life you save may be your own!
