Re: any one work in a major city???

I've worked in Philly for a few years. Most of the row homes in the slums are bus bar in alleys that you can't drive through. There is a 3' wide walkway between fences that are full of trash, overgrown bushes and dogs. Never been mugged, but have been told to get the hell out of the "hood" and always being asked for money. It can be very intimidating. I work in the construction end of the business, so I can't say how installs are. The areas of the city that aren't row homes are no different than working in the burbs. For the most part, not too bad. Seems that cable and utility workers are just a part of the landscape and basically blend in and ignored by the criminals.
