I agree with Splicer on Vonage. I have them and for 25 a month I can call anywhere in the world. Comes in handy when my wife calls her family and friends in Japan. The other good thing is if you travel as long as they have HSI you can hook your modem up and have your home phone with you. When I lived in Japan I had the same type service with a different company. I had a state side phone number so my family could call me and it was a local call for them.
I'm stuck with Comcast too, the only reason I stay with them is so my wife can get her TV Japan. Gives her a little bit of home here in the states. The least I can do since she left everything she knew and came back to the states with me.
