Well, the mayor of the city in which I live seems to view the First Amendment in the same manner as I do.
Placing a Nativity Scene in no way is making any law respecting an establishment of religion it is simply... the free exercise thereof.
As you can see in this news clip, the atheist here, by the way his sign is worded, is not exercising his belief, but in fact is attempting to establish his belief.
Whether the mayor, myself or anyone else believes it to be true, there is no mentioning by the nativity scene that Jesus Christ is "in fact" the only way so salvation, it is just a display.
By the way, since this news cast, the mayor has officially stated that the nativity scene will continue to be displayed, and the sign will not.
