We've had legal issues before and it will vary by state, my state says if the cable company put the cable in the Apt building or maintains it or the cable in the ground aswell it belongs to the cable co. we give the tenant 15 days to call sat and have them move off our lines we wont just chop em.My state says sat outlets on apt buildings have to be deserted for a period of 9 days before we can use them but most of the time we pull em off and rewire, we have strict qc. On homes once the cable hits the house it belongs to the cust here.
