Yeah we had that issue in San Diego on the EON project, sweeping to a gig. High end ripple looking response. It was well known that the Amphenol Conns were the culprit. They have a distinct look under the shrink and were easy to find. BTW on the Gilberts make sure they have the plastic inner sleeve and if your in an underground area make sure you wipe any of the flooding compound off of the shield.
