Re: labor practices

I see the cause as there being just to many people. In the late 90's the business boomed, everybody and thier mother got in to a well paying line of work. As the boom started to decline all of those people stayed trying to keep up the standard of living they had grown accustomed too. Now you have an overcrowded market, so naturally the MSO's are paying only what they have to. When people get tired of working hard for an increasingly smaller paycheck they will get out until the market stabilizes again or until there is another upgrade boom. Upgrades are getting further and further apart due to the technology changes being accomplished with digital transitions and channel compression. The set top converters are in place for the most part, that leaves room only for a smaller competant workforce that has to maintain the customer churn. The business did this same thing in the mid 80's.
