it doesnt matter if its secured or not the hddvr will not pick up any network until you go in and search for the wireless adapter and then select the network you want to connect to unlike the hardwire deca that connects automatically this spicing into the mainline that digicomm is talking about will not work without going into the home and setting it up and is also stupid for someone to drive up and attemp this at someone home without their knowledge.
