SA D9854 Power Vu decoder

Are any of you using the SA 9854 w/ MPEGoIP option?  Wanted to know if this is a standard MPEG2/4 IPTV stream?  If so how are multicast/unicast IPs assigned?  What kind of setting if any can you do?  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  SA D9854 manual doesn't give much info on this.  Thanks
