Re: Sprectrum analyzer to read ingress from tap p

CPD from a house? CPD is forward signal being reflected back and picked up on the return. Hence the "Common Path". You shouldn't be looking for CPD to be coming from a house. CPD is typically a line issue. Loose connectors/seizure screws or corroded seizure screws. I could see maybe a loose fitting on a low value tap but level of signal coming out of a tap, going into the house and being reflected back up the drop and back through the port isolation, there just isn't enough signal left to be distorted. If you re read his post "I'm looking for the same noise, ingress trace I can see from the reverse testpoints, but can't see from the tap ports. Question: What can I do to accomplish this?" He doesn't say that he is looking for CPD. I think my suggestion of testing the drop rather than the tap port is quite helpful.
