The SCTE/NCTI courses are good all my people have to pass them but the best way to learn to be a technician is to OJT. Panther is right those books don't teach you everything. That comment about two weeks training is crazy. Sorry you can't be a technician or installer in two weeks, not a good one anyway. Yes you can learn how to do installs that quickly but not trouble shoot something that's not working. Look, listen, work hard take what the experienced techs tell you and learn from that. To be a decent Technician it takes a couple of years
