Best way to learn to be a tech is to sign up with a quality contractor, most have some form of training program, typically ojt lasts from 2 weeks to a month. If its a good contractor they will pay for your Jones/Ncti training. Just make sure its a good company by asking questions around town and on here. The classes teach you a lot but they don't teach you customer relations, how to properly do a wallfish, and run outlets. Also most mso's have very specific specs for signal and qc that you need to go.
