I attended church for years, was there every time the doors opened. The adults who taught Sunday school and led the "Children's Church/Youth Group" always told me that if I had a problem, bring it to God? At the age of 16 I had a baby and gave her up for adoption. While I was pregnant,I was told (by the same adults previously mentioned) that I shouldn't be allowed to attend youth group meetings because I was setting a bad example! The baby's father attended the same church and served as a junior deacon and sang in the choir? But, nobody could tell he was going to "have a baby"!
I don't have a problem with fellowshipping with like minded folks,(that is what "church" started out as) I am no longer a member of any church. I attend where I feel welcomed, sometimes it is at the Pentacostal church near my house, sometimes, it is the Catholic church down the street. When I visit Virginia, it is the Baptist church. I tithe to charities that I have researched. I try to help others and do volunteer work when I can.
To me, it isn't about what building you "sit in for an hour on Sunday" it is about what you learn while you're there and how you use what you take from that!
That is just one person's opinion.... Thanks for reading...
Have a Blessed day!
