Um..if your BBdeca is connected to the router, once your receiver is activated, go to menu/setup/network and connect now, if its connected properly it will say "Your DirecTV Receiver is connected via the internet" exit out to live tv, hit the right arrow on your remote to access TV apps, that will ping the receiver.
