Good story. Heres one of mine. Back in the 70s we did alot of lead cable wreck-out with 4 lineman, 2 pitmans, and a hogg-davis. We would leap frog the pitmans using one to lower the cable and the other to steady the next pole. It was heavy shit. After it was all down we had a few simi trucks come in with empty metal reels, unloaded them and used the hogg-davis to roll up the cable. Then we would load them back up. Wreck-outs fun ain't it. Especially with the right toys.
