Birddog ultra has not been out for 5 years it is less than a year old at this point. But to the original question yes you can peak a KAKU using a birddog and you can even do it with a SWM LNB but if it is SWM you have to run all your cables and power supply first you then use a 2 way swm splitter at the dish hook the birddog up to the side that is not power pass and you can peak a swm LNB you are just using the power inserter inside to power the LNB.
